I also bought the Plus version (which is quite affordable) so that I can save images with the text when I want to. The Web site is www.treepad.com.Judy Websterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09730547717403140047noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5904175963756061657.post-45480493076377825252017-01-07T17:51:50.748+10:002017-01-07T17:51:50.748+10:00I've used Genscriber for transcribing cursive ...I've used Genscriber for transcribing cursive writing but was unaware of Treepad. I can see that it would be very useful in some situations, but for family history I prefer to transcribe the contents of the image by typing the words into a text file. That lets me really get the information into my brain. Otherwise I might just edit words without seeing them in context. I recently sorted out a 'dead end' by doing this with two wills. To transcribe from an image to text, I either use (1) Genscriber or (2) Treepad with 'View' set to 'Stay on top'.Judy Websterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09730547717403140047noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5904175963756061657.post-724118207901987912016-12-07T15:26:22.221+10:002016-12-07T15:26:22.221+10:00Great tip thanks Carmel.Great tip thanks Carmel.Bribie Family History Associationhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03775519272407873357noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5904175963756061657.post-84074502873851907472016-12-04T20:56:03.623+10:002016-12-04T20:56:03.623+10:00Thanks Carmel.
